Before the sun rises...
"We’re just a group of middle-aged guys who found each other a few years ago in the Long Beach Yacht Club pool trying to get in shape and stay active. Soon we realized that we actually enjoyed swimming and found comfort and motivation swimming together. Early mornings before the world wakes up and the workday starts . . . that’s our thing. We’re not a club nor a team. We are simply The Dawn Patrol." (Courtesy of www.lbycdawnpatrol.com)

THE SWIM 2010 Press Release

All members of the Long Beach Yacht Club, they can be found most mornings when the sun comes up in the LBYC pool, Thursday’s outside the Seal Beach Pier (swimming with the Seal Beach Sea Monkeys), and Saturday’s swimming the inner bay in Belmont Shore.
The Dawn Patrol and their families are very active in the local Long Beach community and have direct ties to each of the charities being supported.
