Rothco Backpacks at Tillys.com!
In 1953 in a small loft on Great Jones Street in the Lower East Side Milton Somberg began Rothco then known as Morris Rothenberg & Son. Dealing in used clothing and World War II army surplus the business grew settling in a larger warehouse on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn.
When used military goods became scarce the company became manufacturers eventually becoming the countryÆs largest supplier of military clothing and gear to the commercial market. With all those years of experience Milton knew real military gear and made sure that all of RothcoÆs clothing met the same rigid standards.
The Rothco brand was soon embraced by the workingman in the same way it was respected by soldiers around the world. Over the years as military-inspired clothing grew in popularity Rothco gained fans and added boutiques menswear street wear & skate/surf stores to their existing retail base of army-navy stores and military suppliers.
Rothco remains true to its roots making real clothing for military law enforcement and work wear. For over 55 years Rothco has made timeless vintage clothing that transcends eraÆs and offers classic lasting quality and appeal. Their customers rely on this unchanging commitment.
