Comic-Con 2010 starts tomorrow and Etnies has teamed up with Kevin Smith the man behind such classics as Mall Rats, Clerks, and Chasing Amy for a Comic-Con Happy Hour Party and live Smodcast at the SE San Diego Hotel on Friday night!

I was listening to the KROQ "Kevin & Bean" Show this morning and none other than Silent Bob aka Kevin Smith was on the air. Looks like the creative folks at Etnies have teamed up with him to launch a "Clerks" Shoe and to also throw a Comic-Con Happy Hour Party Friday, July 23rd from 5pm - 8pm. Not sure what the ratio of cute girls to nerds will be at the gig but he's doing a live Smodcast during the party.

Here's the 411 on Comic-Con...."Comic-Con International is a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to creating awareness of, and appreciation for, comics and related popular art forms, primarily through the presentation of conventions and events that celebrate the historic and ongoing contribution of comics to art and culture." Special Guests include..."Legendary comics creator Neal Adams is a special guest at Comic-Con 2010 and he's bringing his talented trio of sons -- Jason, Joel, and Josh -- with him! The entire "Adams Family" will be a part of this year's big event. Comic-Con already has an impressive lineup of special guests who have agreed to appear at the 2010 event. Our special guest lineup is an incredibly diverse one, consisting of some of the hottest creators in the world of comics, ranging from the mainstream to the alternative, international, and syndicated branches of the industry. We're also, of course, featuring Golden and Silver Age creators, sf/fantasy writers and artists, and longtime Comic-Con friends." (courtesy of www.comic-con.com)
