Serape blanket with intarsia knit stripes and fringe trim. Blanket is made from pre-consumer recycled fibers. The composition is 50% polyester, 40% acrylic and 10% cotton. One Blanket Saves 6.5lbs of textile cuttings from going into the landfill. Clippings/cuttings are collected from textile mills in Canada, USA and Mexico. Clippings are then separated by color, shredded, and then the fibers are spun into new yarn. Yarn is given to local indigenous families who in turn weave these blankets in their manual wooden looms.
